Matthieu Rytz

Matthieu Rytz is a filmmaker, photographer, and producer celebrated for blending art and activism to address pressing global challenges. His film Anote’s Ark, which premiered at Sundance, vividly portrays the existential threat of climate change to the Pacific Island nation of Kiribati. Continuing his focus on environmental advocacy, his latest documentary, Deep Rising, explores the hidden world of deep-sea mining, its ecological impacts, and its ties to the global energy transition.
